Illinois Police Nail 2 Suspects Packing $40 Million in Cocaine
Illinois State Police have been busy over the holiday weekend as they just nailed 2 suspects who were allegedly packing a mammoth amount of cocaine with a street value of $40 million dollars.
I saw Yahoo News just shared this incredible bust that just went down on an interstate in the Quad Cities in Illinois. Illinois State Police were inspecting a semi-tractor trailer when they discovered something extraordinary. They discovered 1,146 pounds of cocaine valued at $40 million dollars.
The report says that 2 Canadian men were driving the truck. Their names are Vanshpreet Singh, 27, and Manpreet Singh, 36, both of Ontario and both have been charged with multiple felonies for cocaine possession, cocaine possession with intent to deliver and cocaine trafficking.
The arrests of the two Canadian men was handled by the Illinois State Police Blackhawk Area Task Force. The investigation was assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Chicago field division, too.
This is one of the largest drug busts in recent memory rivaling the huge amount of marijuana that was recovered last year around this time in Illinois.
The report says the 2 Canadian men were transported to and are being detained at the Henry County Jail.
