HERO: 1 Missouri Family Just Saved 31 Orphans from Ukraine

It's one thing to care about a situation, but it's quite another to do something about it especially when that "something" requires an extraordinary effort. That's exactly what happened when one Missouri family heroically rescued 31 orphans from Ukraine.

I saw this incredible story shared by CBN News. It's the story of Wendy Farrell of Springfield, Missouri who along with her husband arranged for 31 orphans in Ukraine to be moved to a safer location in Poland right before the war began.

It's worth noting that Wendy already has 5 daughters of her own including 1 she and her husband adopted from Ukraine years ago. Now, she sits in Poland waiting for visas. Her hope is that someday they can return them to their native land in Ukraine, but for now it's their safety she's insuring.

There aren't words sufficient to thank people like Wendy and her husband who so selflessly are not only financing the moving and housing of these kids, but also putting herself in harm's way as Russian shelling has been near the Polish border where she and the kids remain.

The word "hero" gets used a little too much sometimes. But, in the case of Wendy Farrell and her husband, it truly fits. Their hometown of Springfield, Missouri should be so proud of what they've done. Actually, everyone should be proud of what they've done and model them when it comes to turning your feelings and caring into action.
