Here Are Tips to Be Safe While Grocery Shopping
With simply fewer places to shop, the grocery store may very well be one of the busiest places to find shoppers in the area. It is also one of the more populated places as well. Our local grocery stores have done a great job in trying to navigate people through their stores in a save manner practicing as best they can the social distancing requirements.
As hard as they try, the safety of their shoppers is really up to the shopper themselves. With that said, the Center of Disease Control (C.D.C.) has provided a list of safety guidelines for people to follow. They are listed below:
CDC guidelines for grocery shoppers
- Only shop in person when you absolutely need to.
- Avoid shopping if you are sick.
- Stay at least 6 feet away from others.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering.
- Shop during off-peak hours or during special hours for high-risk people (65 or older, and those with serious underlying medical conditions).
- Disinfect shopping cart with wipes if available.
- Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
- Use touch-less payment if available.
- Use hand sanitizer right after paying with cash or touching a keypad.
- Use hand sanitizer after leaving store, then wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds at home.
