Here Are Some Local Baseball Dates to Remember

If you are like me, I am ready to move on from winter and into spring and baseball season. With the last full day of winter is scheduled for March 19, which is 47 days away, I thought I would present some dates for baseball fans and non-fans that would warm us up here in February. So here are those dates:

2-2-18   Hannibal LaGrange University meets Dallas Christian College in Texas for their opening game.

2-3-18  Culver-Stockton plays at Union College at Barbourville, Ky. for a season opening doubleheader.

2-13-18 St. Louis Cardinals Pitchers & Catchers report to Spring Training in Jupiter, Florida.

2-17-18 Quincy University meets Southern Indiana at Cleveland, Miss. in season opening doubleheader.  

2-23-18 St. Louis Cardinals play their 1^st Spring training game vs. the Miami Marlins in Jupiter, Florida.

2-23-18 Chicago Cubs play their 1^st Spring training game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.

2-23-18 Hannibal LaGrange University home opener vs. Crowley’s Ridge College for a doubleheader.

3-2-18   Quincy University home opener vs. McKendree University.

3-2-18   John Wood Community College meets Kaskaskia in Centralia, Illinois for season opener.

3-17-18 Culver-Stockton hosts Baker University in a home opening double-header.

3-24-18 John Wood Community College hosts Lewis & Clark Community College in home opener.

3-29-18 St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Mets in New York for season opener.

3-29-18 Chicago Cubs open regular season at Miami vs. the Marlins.

4-5-18   St. Louis Cardinals home opener vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks.

4-9-18   Chicago Cubs host the Pittsburgh Pirates in home opener.
