Hannibal Featured in New Coloring and Activity Book

A new coloring and activity book brings the history and marvels of Hannibal to life in a fun and engaging way.

Illustrated and produced by Quincy artist Bill Beard, the twenty-four page “Freckles the Frog Explores Hannibal, Missouri” shares the tale of the amphibious and straw-hatted “Freckles the Frog” and his many adventures in America’s Hometown.

In addition to coloring pages, the book features such activities as word searches, crossword puzzles, hidden pictures, mazes, and dot-to-dot puzzles.

The latest book is the third coloring book (and eighth book overall) self-published by the award-winning artist. He has also created coloring and activity books that take place in Quincy and Pike County. Beard also publishes a daily comic strip entitled "The Adventures of Marty and Turkey" which is posted each morning to the official Marty and Turkey Facebook page.

“I’m hoping to find some stores in Hannibal that will sell them,” Beard says. Until then, he’s selling them on his own for just $5 each.
