
Four People Win Exchange Club’s Prestigious Awards
The Quincy Exchange Club honored the areas First Responders, Law Officers, EMS workers and Citizens with their annual awards luncheon at the Elks Lodge. Q.P.D. Chief Rob Copley was the Master of Ceremonies for the banquet.
The first award of the event was for Firefighter of The Year. Q.F.D. Chief Joe Henning had the honors of reviewing the previous 11 award winners before turning things over to Tri-Township Chief Tom Bentley who introduced Chris Costigan of the Tri-Township Fire Protection District as this year’s winner.
Adams County EMS Director John Simon then had the privilege of announcing the winner of the EMS Person of The Year Award. This year’s EMS award winner was Dan Royalty.
After Chief Copley announced the names of the previous 54 award winners, Adams County Deputy Sheriff Rich Wagner then announced the winner of the 2020 Law Officer of The Year. This year’s winner was Donald Borgmeyer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The final award for Citizen of The Year went to Anita Crowley for her hard work as a volunteer for the EMS unit in Adams County. Adams County Board Chairman Kent Snyder had the honors of announcing Ms. Crowley as this year’s winner.
