It's time to hit fast forward on winter and see what Spring will be like in Missouri for 2025. Think that's impossible? Well, Farmer's Almanac just issued their official forecast today to give you a peek at what awaits once the snow and cold are gone and it's a bit troubling.

According to the Farmer's Almanac website, I just happened to be at the right place at the right time for once as this new "Spring Weather 2025 Prediction" was just shared today.

How can Farmer's Almanac already know what Spring will be like in Missouri when winter isn't even close to over?

The almanac folks say they use "solar science, climatology, and meteorology" and also bake in 30-year rolling averages.

What does Farmer's Almanac predict for Missouri this Spring that's "troubling"?

First, they predict that Missouri will see a warm spring with temperatures around 3 degrees above average which doesn't sound like much, but it is. Here's the problematic part. Farmer's Almanac says Missouri will experience "waves of heat and dry conditions likely to continue through the summer". Considering how bad drought conditions have been for the past couple of years, please be wrong about this.

I despise snow and consider Spring my favorite season of the year. I also enjoy Fall, but it's followed by winter (obviously) which is why I give Spring the nod since I can deal with Summer more than cold weather.

I'm encouraged to already see Spring forecasts being issued because that means it can't be that far away, right? I just wish it had a bit more moisture included for the farmers who really need it for a healthy harvest this year. Truth is we all need that.
