Someone in Illinois Just Won $300,000, But Doesn’t Know It Yet

Someone in Illinois stopped for gas this week which probably did not seem like a big deal to them then, but it's a big deal now as they won $300,000. The problem is they don't seem to know it yet.

This is the BP station located at 555 Howard Street in Evanston, Illinois. Someone stopped at this station on May 14, 2025 and picked up a Lucky Day Lotto ticket which the Illinois Lottery says is now worth a cool $300,000.

One tiny little problem, though. No one has stepped forward to claim their prize. It's no rush since Illinois lotto winners have a full year to claim their money, but the concern is the person just tossed the ticket somewhere without thinking about it too much and now it's worth a small fortune that would change anyone's life instantly.
