A community Facebook page was set up Sunday called “Help Find Ron Abney,” enlisting help in finding the 82 year old man.

As of midday Sunday, posts on the page indicate the search was focused along Highway 96 and other highways and blacktop roads from Pleasant Hill to Barry and Pittsfield.

They are asking anyone who might have cameras that would show Highway 96 from south of New Canton to Kinderhook between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Friday to look at the video and let them know if Abney’s car, a red 2004 Honda Accord, might be on the tape.

Abney was last seen about 3:15 p.m. Friday traveling northbound through Pleasant Hill.

The Endangered Missing Person Advisory that was issued by the Illinois State Police Saturday stated Abney was seen leaving Hardin, Illinois Friday about 3 p.m.

If you have information or would like to help with the search, go to Help Find Ron Abney on Facebook or call 217-440-4023.
