How would you feel if you were given no realistic choice other than to abandon your home because of an incoming artificial intelligence company? That was a realistic dilemma for 55 Illinois families who found themselves looking for a new place to live thanks to robots.

Stringer media on YouTube were allowed by a construction company to get one last look at a neighborhood in Elk Grove Village in Illinois. According to what they shared, 55 families were more or less "urged" to sell their properties to a technology company after the city annexed their unincorporated neighborhood. They said that one entire fire department company had their family homes here.

According to the video share, the 55 Illinois families sold their homes for $1 million dollars each which is a lot of money, but they say that most families felt forced to sell and did not want to find a new place to live.

Money can't buy everything especially memories made in their homes which are now history. I'm not against progress and I understand business is business, but there's something that feels very unfair about what happened to these many Elk Grove Village, Illinois families. Surely there could have been another way.
