D.A.R. Reminds Us ‘Constitution Week’ Starts Today
The Dorothy Quincy Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution of Quincy, Illinois would like to remind all citizens that the week of September 17th through the 23rd commemorates the 233rd anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention.
There are displays honoring Constitution Week at John Wood Community College all week long.
The local D.A.R. asks citizens to reaffirm the ideals the framers of the constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through the guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained. Perhaps this document is more important now than it ever has been.
The Dorothy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution meet monthly in Quincy. For more information, call 440-2692.
