There's word that some new jobs are on their way to a small Missouri town as a manufacturer is building a $2.9 million dollar facility.

The Missouri Department of Economical Development announced in a press release that Black Sheep Ammunition is working on a new facility in Union, Missouri that will bring with it at least 17 new jobs and possibly more to come. Union, Missouri is located just to the southwest of the St. Louis metro area.

It’s always exciting to see companies creating jobs here in our state,” said Governor Mike Parson. “Our ongoing commitment to strengthening Missouri’s workforce and improving our infrastructure continues to attract quality employers and make a positive difference for our economy. We welcome Black Sheep Ammunition to Union and look forward to the benefits it will bring to the area.

The press release said this new expansion was made possible by the Missouri Works program that helps companies with tax relief issues when bringing in new jobs. The building in Union, Missouri was previously vacant and located on Washington Avenue in Union.
