Soon a PC Game Will Let You Be a Truck Driver in Kansas City Area
I love video games. Sometimes they let you experience what it would be like to do something you'd never get the chance to do in real life. This upcoming PC game is a great example. It lets you more or less be a truck driver delivering goods in Kansas City, Missouri and places beyond.
Here's a daunting fact that I swear is true. I have spent over 980 hours (as of this writing) playing American Truck Simulator. Here's a screenshot from my Steam account to prove it.
My point is that I know a thing or two about this game. If you're not familiar, it's a PC game I've been playing loyally for 9 years. The base game came out in 2014 with only California and Arizona available. Now, the expansion across America continues with their recently announced Kansas DLC. Arkansas is already announced, too, and Missouri can't be far behind.
The SCS Software team just shared an update on Facebook confirming that the Kansas City area will be a part of this new expansion.
I realize that technically it will be the Kansas part of Kansas City (for now), but between you and me I'm still in denial that Kansas City isn't completely in Missouri. Yes, I hold grudges against Kansas Jayhawk fans unfortunately.
American Truck Simulator is a very relaxing game. It's frequently available during Steam sales for as little as $4.99 and you don't need a super-powerful PC to play it. Check out the official American Truck Simulator website for more details about this PC game I can't seem to get enough of.
