One of the most vile criminals in Ozarks history has escaped from prison and is now on the loose. A manhunt is underway for him in the northern mountains of Arkansas, but there is now a question if he found his way to Missouri. The FBI has just shared new information.

Who is the 'Devil of the Ozarks' and what did he do?

Grant Hardin was a former police officer who was convicted of murder and rape in 2019. He was the subject of a documentary called "Devil in the Ozarks". He was being held at a prison in northern Arkansas where he escaped from a few days ago. That has led to a desperate manhunt that CBS News said includes bloodhounds. So far the dogs have been unsuccessful in finding this convict. The New York Post is now reporting that the search has expanded to the surrounding mountains in northern Arkansas including the massive cave systems where they believe he could be hiding. Considering the proximity to the southern Missouri border, it cannot be ruled out that he could be near or in Missouri by now.

The FBI has not officially acknowledged the possibility that Grant Hardin is hiding in Missouri, but they have just increased the reward for information leading to his capture to $20,000 as shared on X.
