I love watching ghost shows, Ghost Adventures is probably one of my top ten favorite shows to watch. And I believe in ghosts, but not all the money in the world could you pay me to stay in these creepy houses.

There are a ton for creepy houses, Quincy & Hannibal have their share, but these are the creepiest in Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois and I don’t think I would be able to stay overnight in any of them.

According to travelchannel.com, the McPike Mansion is Alton, Illinois is one of the most haunted houses in the state. Supposedly, its haunted by the original owners of the house on top of haunting for Native Americans, and other ghost who have died on the land the mansion sits on. Not only does Alton have the most haunted house in the state, they also make the list of the most haunted small town in America. I think it's safe to say I will not be moving to Alton anytime soon.

The Lemp Mansion in St. Louis, Missouri is said to be haunted by four of the originally family members. Today it’s a restaurant and inn, (like a bed & breakfast) so, would you stay there? There are ghost tours you can take in the house to see for yourself. I would love to experience a true ghost hunting tour and actually see it for myself, I watch Ghost Adventures and you can never tell if its real or not, but I tend to lean towards the real part.

In Iowa, the Villisca Ax Murder House makes the creepy house list. I'm sure by the name of the house you can figure out why. I've heard of this story, and I think the Ghost Adventures crew even did a paranormal session there, six people killed over night, and to this day the case is still unsolved. Much like the other two houses you can chose from a day tour, or if you’re brave enough a night tour. I'll pick the day, I'm terrified of the dark.

Whether you believe or not, all three houses would be exited to tour and look at. But, could you stay there over night? Nope, not me, I'll admit I'm too chicken, I'll just sit at my house with the lights on watching my ghost hunting shows.
