The at-home test kits will start hitting shelves soon so customers can test themselves for COVID-19. Test prices range from $99 - $135. According to walmart.com, there is a process that has to be done in order for you to buy a test kit. Results can be expected within 24 to 48 hours after the test collection kit is received at the lab.
To get a test collection kit, customers purchase a code providing access to a health survey. Once the survey is completed, a physicians’ order is generated if appropriate, and the purchase is completed. The test collection kit is mailed to the customer who can then self-collect a sample and mail to the lab for results.
As of now, test will be delivered through the mail or overnight, but the retail giant is looking at other ways to deliver test kits include drone delivery.
