It's been said that if the US Marshals are after you, it's simply a matter of time before you're caught. That proved true recently as a sexual predator suspect wanted in West Virginia was captured by Marshals hiding in the Missouri.

The US Marshals just shared a bulletin announcing that one of their most wanted suspects was no longer wanted, but in custody. It says that John D. Foster II, 51 who was wanted by the West Virginia State Police for his alleged sexual abuse of a minor was found in Camdenton, Missouri. The US Marshals operating in the western district of Missouri were notified on April 17, 2026 regarding a lead about Foster's whereabouts. Five days later, they took him into custody without incident.

"In July 2010, Foster is alleged to have sexually abused a minor at a residence in Montrose. Following the alleged abuse, Foster moved to Missouri."

The US Marshals added that this is not Foster's first run-in with the law as he was required to register as a sex offender in Missouri after his 1996 conviction of rape of a 13-year-old in Kansas City. Foster will reportedly make a court appearance in Camden County before he is extradited back to West Virginia to face justice.
