
Traffic Violation leads To Arrest of Hannibal Man with Safe in Car
A Hannibal man was arrested after a traffic stop and police saw a safe in the driver's vehicle.

A joint enforcement conducted with the Anti-Crime Enforcement Square and the Missouri State highway Patrol resulted in the arrest of 33-year old Justin Fuget on Friday, March 22 after he was pulled over for a traffic violation. When officers approached the vehicle with Fuget inside they noticed he was acting suspicious and there was a safe inside the car with him.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol K9 unit assisted with the search and found a loaded gun, and a large amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine all of which were seized. Fuget was taken into custody and taken to the Marion Country jail on a $100,000 cash bond only.
With the joining effects of both the Anti-Crime Enfocermcent Square and the Missouri State highway Patrol, there were 21 traffics stops, 8 citizens contacts, 11 citations, 2 open liquor arrests, 4 drug arrest (misdemeanor), 1 drug arrest (felony), 4 warrant arrest (misdemeanor) and 1 warrant arrest (felony). There are more enforcement projects that may be planned for the future making it much harder for those involved in drugs to operate in the Hannibal community.
