“The Last Dance” Parts 1 & 2 Amazing MJ Quote

ESPN debuted parts 1 & 2 of "The Last Dance" here is the best quote in my opinion for the episodes last night.

"The Last Dance" a 10 part documentary series from ESPN on the 1998 Chicago Bulls debuted last night, they only aired episodes 1 and 2, and will be airing episodes 3 and 4 next Sunday and so on and so fourth. If you know me, you know I am a MASSIVE sports fan and especially all things Chicago (where I'm from). I was super pumped to watch this documentary seeing as though I'm 29 years old, I'll be the first to admit that I don't really remember most of the 90's Bulls dynasty (I was only 7 when MJ and the Bulls won their 6th ring). I obviously learned a lot watching the first two parts like how under paid Scottie Pippen was, how Micheal Jordan didn't want Charles Oakley traded in the late 80's, and how much dysfunction their was between the Bulls management and actual team. But there was a big lesson I think is really important to take from the first two episodes and here it is.

You can't do it alone.

Michael Jordan said when talking about Scottie Pippen ""Whenever they speak Michael Jordan, they should speak Scottie Pippen. When everybody says, well, I won all these championships- but I didn't win without Scottie Pippen. And that's why I consider him my best teammate of all-time."

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. Period. But even he is smart enough to know and realize that in order to be as successful as you possibly can be, and to achieve your ultimate goals in life you need help from others. Of the many already amazing quotes from the first two episodes (you can see more by clicking here thanks to sportingnews.com) I found that quote to be the one that stuck with me the most. MJ could be as cocky as he wants and no one could blame him, because he is the GOAT, but he has the self awareness to know he didn't do it alone. And in these times where we are all struggling through a national crisis it's important to remember things like that.
