I don't mean this as any offense Illinois, but I've never envisioned the state as a superhero. Perhaps I should as a report says the federal government is giving the state of Illinois $430 million dollars to save the world - more or less.
The good news is there are many great reasons to be outside in St. Louis, Missouri Sunday. The bad news is that many will need to be very careful as the National Weather Service has issued serious warnings about air quality today.
There's a surprising amount of science being applied to dirt or at least the cities that exhibit dirt better worse than other places in America. 3 Missouri locations were just honored shamed by being named among the dirtiest places in the United States.

I am not an environmentalist, but I do love Missouri's many rivers. That's why it makes me sad to be the messenger that a new 2024 ranking has one of the mightiest that also happens to be one of the most polluted in America and there's no realistic way to save it now.

I've always thought that the air quality in Missouri was decent and it looks like the experts agree - for the most part. While most of the Show Me State gets passing grades for air quality, the same can't be said for St. Louis which flunked miserably.

Broadway Street in Quincy, IL is a perfect example of "Visual Pollution" and it is my opinion that this visual pollution is one of the main reasons why business is slow to grow along the busiest street in the whole of the Tri-States.
