Bears

We're seeing a definite uptick of bears making appearances on Missouri trail cams as the population continues to increase across the state. There have none as fun as the time when a Missouri trail cam showed a bear who seems to think he was Bigfoot.

Bears are curious creatures. While some view them a fierce predators, the fact is that most of the time when they wander into areas where humans are it's just because they want to know what's going on. A hunter experienced this recently when he was shocked to see a bear wanted to join him in his hunting blind.

It's no secret there are some strange laws in Missouri, but this might be the weirdest of them all. There is one activity that is completely illegal to do with a bear and the fact that there's a law against it means it's happened at least once.

It's one of the largest bear families I've seen in the Midwest. A trail cam video shows 5 black bears roaming the woods late at night while 1 of the cubs tried to eat the camera.

We have been told by the state of Missouri that there is an increasing population of bears, but this is ridiculous. A recent video share from 4 different trail cams in Missouri in 4 different locations all show bears.

Would I like to see a bear in the wild? Sure. Would I like to get as close as this Missouri bowhunter did to a curious black bear? Not a chance.

Trail cam videos can be entertaining to watch especially when they capture the multitude of wildlife that frequent the backwoods of Missouri. A new trail cam share shows a very large visitor that wandered by. Can you say huge black bear?

I want to be clear that this isn't how it normally works. If you have a bear enter your home, it will normally not leave and close the door. However, there is new video of what is likely the most polite bear ever who did just that when a lady requested.

What would you do if those you love were facing imminent danger? Would you fight or flee? One man showed how brave he was when he came face to snout with a bear as he jumped into action and showed how bear slapping is done.

All good things do come to an end and sadly that includes the life of beloved zoo animals. A zoo in Illinois just shared the news that one of their bears has now passed after his health declined to the point where he was beyond help.
