Video Shows Massive Tornado Tearing Thru St. Louis, Missouri
It's been a turbulent day of weather for much of Missouri, but it was St. Louis that seems to have been impacted the hardest. New video shows a massive tornado as it was tearing up portions of the metro area including Clayton Friday.
This video which was just shared within the hour as a short on YouTube shows the tornado as seen from the top of a nearby building.
KSDK in St. Louis is reporting that the tornado touched down in Clayton, Missouri around 2:45pm while another twister was spotted in Des Arc around 15 minutes later. These tornadoes have been responsible for up to 40,000 being reported without power for the past hour and a half.
This new video share shows damage in downtown St. Louis by this twister.
Someone even shared a view of the tornado from the Gateway Arch on the Missouri sub-Reddit.
The severe weather threat for Missouri isn't over yet as it's still possible there will be more damaging storms developing. As this is a developing story, it will be updated once the National Weather Service surveys the damage and shares more information about how powerful the tornadoes that have caused destruction in St. Louis were.
