Hundreds of Missouri workers who had already been given bad news just received word that it's now worse than they thought. The layoff they had already been notified of is now arriving nearly two months early according to a new document submitted to the state of Missouri.

The Missouri Jobs site confirms that Nature's Bakery, LLC, has updated their previously submitted layoff plans. A new WARN notice that Missouri has just shared today shows those layoff plans have now been moved up. Here's the statement from the company about their Hazelwood facility located at 8860 Pershall Road in Hazelwood, Missouri:

"Nature's Bakery previously advised that approximately 130 associates were expected to
separate from employment on September 11, 2026 and approximately 215 associates were expected to separate from employment on February 26, 2027. The separations scheduled for September 11, 2026 occurred as planned.

Nature's Bakery is providing this supplemental notice to advise that the employee group
previously expected to separate from employment on February 26, 2027 is now expected to separate from employment on January 1, 2027. Affected associates were first notified of the closing on July 7, 2026 and were notified of the revised separation date on October 2, 2026."
