It looks like the newly refurbished Sprouts Restaurant will be opening within the next week or two, as many of the hired employees were told they could give their two week notices to their current employers a few days ago. Sprouts, a very popular restaurant for years, burned down in a fire on June 14th, 2012.

The new restaurant will be some 200 square feet bigger and will feature the same menu it had prior to the fire. The menu will also feature a few additions, according owner Jenny Wiemelt. There will be an outdoor garden area, but not quite as big as the last one.

The bar area will be located in a separate room in the back of the restaurant and the kitchen area will be larger for the workers.

So after a 15 month hiatus it looks like one of Quincy's favorite eating spots will soon have its door open again!
