This is the weekend that most of the United States turns its clocks ahead one hour for the beginning of Daylight Savings Time.

This is also the time of year that fire departments and law enforcement encourages you to replace the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

In case you wondered, Hawaii and Arizona, except for the Navajo Nation, are the only states that do not observe daylight time.

Daylight time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday and continues through November 7th.
