25 Models Show Missouri with More Snow in January than Last Year
Consider this a look into the weather future by committee. It's the conjecture of 25 different weather computer models that seem to all agree on just one thing and that's the prediction that Missouri will get more snow in January this year than last.
One of my go-to weather nerds on YouTube (and I mean the nerd part as a compliment) is Travis Roberts. His Weather with Travis YouTube channel is one of the most balanced and least sensational weather places on the net. He used to be the chief meteorologist for a TV station and still follows atmospheric stuff as a side passion.
Just today he dropped a new video that looked at several things, but I'd like to focus on just one. It's what 25 computer models show is expected in January 2025. First, here are the 25 different models with nearly all calling for some kind of snow event that will affect Missouri by the middle of the month.
By the time we reach January 26, 2025, here are the expected snow totals which shows Missouri getting significant snowfall.
You might recall that Missouri had a very mild January in 2024. It looks like January 2025 will be much more eventful. I would highly encourage you to listen to Travis explain the who, what, when, where and why of what these computer models agree on.
