Shade Tree Mid-Summer Paint Out to Be Held on July 26 and 27

The Great River Watercolor Society and Quincy University has announced the return of the Shade Tree Mid-Summer Paint Out on July 26 and 27 to be held on the campus of  Quincy University.

The 2-day event is open to the public and includes educational classes at the University, a plein-air competition and art show. Registration will be $35 on the day of the event and it is open to painters from around the Tri-State area. Artwork will be created outside, on location and within the city limits of Quincy.

All painting and drawing mediums are accepted. With a considerable cache of awards, and several planned purchase awards, the Shade Tree Paint-Out will give participants multiple chances to collect prizes. Besides bringing together area painters, the event will be a fundraiser for the Q.U. Alumni Association, Q.U. Art Department and the Great River Watercolor Society.
