After New Russian Threats, Nuke Sniffer Seen Over Missouri Twice
Timing and context are everything when you're looking at situations like what just happened over Missouri. Not long after new Russian threats, a nuclear detection plane was spotted flying over the entire state of Missouri twice.
The news that broke yesterday, as reported by the Arms Control Association, was Russia revising their nuclear use doctrine. In short, Russia is now threatening to use nuclear weapons against America and its allies for much lesser reasons that before. They drastically lowered the threshold.
It was shortly after that revision of Russian nuclear use doctrines that an interesting US Air Force plane was spotted flying over Missouri and it happened twice. A WC-135 Constant Phoenix plane (code named COBRA29) flew over Missouri twice. As the Air Force confirms, this plane samples the air over an area looking for nuclear weapon elements.
It likely left Offutt Air Force Base in southeastern Nebraska before it proceeded to cross the entire state of Missouri before it ran a patrol over the entire east coast of America. Two questions. First, was Missouri just along the route to the east coast or was that plane looking for something? Second, was there a concern that Russian nuclear subs might be lurking off of our east coast and that's why this plane ran that patrol?
The timing of this plane over Missouri and then the entire eastern seaboard is eerie right after Russia lowers the level of when they can and will use nukes. Is it just me or is the real world starting to play out like a Tom Clancy novel?
