Oh, to be a time traveler and go back to when this era was happening again. A retro 1972 ad shows how inexpensive it was to eat out at a pizza joint 52 years ago in Missouri.

I saw this shared on the Missouri sub-Reddit this week and it's a true throwback. I had forgotten just how cheap it was to go out for pizza in 1972 as this Maryville, Missouri Pizza Hut ad shows.

All you can eat pizza and salad for just $1.35? Sign me up for that. A large single-topping pizza only $1.99? I am so there. Large supreme pizza for $2.59? Excuse me while I search for my old pizza bib.

I was the grand old age of 6 at the time of this Maryville, Missouri Pizza Hut advertisement. I don't remember much from those days, but I do vividly recall how my fellow high school football teammates and I would walk over to the Hannibal Pizza Hut in the early 1980's before a game and load up on our carbs before taking the field. One of my most clear memories are of those red Pizza Hut glasses.

Now, let's find that DeLorean and get that bad boy up to 88mph? Wanna ride?
