Quincy Park Band Concert Season Schedule is Set

The 70th concert season will commence on May 28 for the Quincy Park Band. This long standing tradition of musical entertainment was begun by Carl Landrum and carried on by Pam Potter for 20 years. The Park Band, under the direction of Keith Wiemelt, will begin their season with a Memorial Day concert at Madison Park in Quincy at 6:30 p.m. The live band performs music ranging from marches, Broadway musicals, Dixieland, classical, big band, swing, patriotic and much more.

Their free concerts have entertained thousands over the years who have enjoyed the music in their lawn chairs or on their blankets in the park. The Park Band is a non-profit entity and exists solely on the generosity of their fans who make contributions and to sponsors of their concerts.
