Quanada Recives $6,000 Grant

Quanada was recently awarded a RedRover Relief Safe Housing Grant in Quincy.

This will enable the Quincy-based domestic violence shelter to build on-site housing for pets of domestic violence victims. RedRover provides grants for financial assistance and support for victims of domestic violence through its RedRover Relief program, enabling domestic violence victims to safely escape abusive situations with their pets. Quanada is the first shelter in Illinois to house animals on site. Quanada will be using RedRover's grant funding toward updating an existing structure on the property to safely house dogs, cats and smaller animals.

Quanada provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. All services are completely confidential and free of charge.
