This is another case where I'm watching computer weather models simulate what could happen and I'm hoping it's wrong, but you need to know that some parts of Missouri could get slammed by another snow storm just days after the current system gets done impacting the state.

As Missouri is currently waiting for one of the strongest snow events in decades to move across the state starting late Saturday/early Sunday, there's another expected winter system you should be aware of. Travis Roberts of the Weather with Travis YouTube channel just shared what the computer ensembles are showing is possible starting early on Friday, January 10, 2025.

It appears that the next system will travel more to the south, but the southern quarter of Missouri could be in the path of this storm with more heavy snow possible. This is what it looks like next Friday around 7am.

This is what that storm could look like later in the day.

We're still 6 days out, so this is NOT a forecast. Just like I did a week before the current winter storm became a reality, this is being shared just so many in southern Missouri know they may not have long to recover from the first winter storm as they make get a double punch of white precipitation.
