Missouri Family Stunned When Wild Peacock Shows Up on Front Porch
Knock, knock. Who's there? If you're a certain Missouri family, it's a wild peacock that suddenly appeared on their front porch.
I've seen some pretty wild conversations on the Missouri sub-Reddit, but this one about a lost peacock in Jefferson County, Missouri takes the cake peacock.

If you're asking the question "does Missouri have a wild peacock population?", you're not alone. The question was asked on Quora and there are no easy answers other than these pretty birds aren't native to really any state, but they do end up in the wild when someone adopts one as a pet and they get loose.
Many of the commenters on Reddit said what I would and that a call to the Missouri Department of Conservation is needed. If you look at their list of birds native to Missouri, good luck finding a peacock in the group.
The fact that someone in Jefferson County, Missouri just woke up one day and answered the door and a peacock was on the other side is one of the most Missouri experiences ever. Expect the unexpected. I honestly wouldn't rule out a Bigfoot holding a peacock either.
