Parents, Be Aware of These Dangerous Apps!
Being a parent is hard enough, but in this age of technology it's extremely hard. There are apps out there that all parents need to be aware of.
With summer vacation officially here, kids will most likely be on their phones or tablets more for the next few weeks. But there are some dangerous apps out there that parents need to be aware of. Did you know that there was an app for bullying? Not about reporting bullying mind you, but an actual app designed to make bullying other kids easier. It's called Sarahah. There are texting apps, dating apps, photo/streaming apps, and live streaming apps that all parents should be aware of.
Texting Apps:

- Nextplus (used to be Textplus)

Dating Apps (I had no idea, but there are dating apps for children):
- Omgle – they promote this app as talking to strangers.
- Yubo (used to be Yolo)
- Meetme
- ChatRoulette
- Whisper
- Tinder
- Blendr
- Yik Yak
Photo/Streaming Apps:
- Snapchat
- Musical.ly
- Live.ly
To be protect your children from accessing apps they shouldn't be, it's best to password protect everything.
