I've heard it said what you don't know can't hurt you. Perhaps this might be an exception. A United States "doomsday plane" went dark over Missouri with its transponder off until it was just spotted.

Kudos to YouTube channel NY Prepper for the catch on this. He noticed that an Air Force Boeing 747-E4B flew over Missouri with its transponder off Monday afternoon, August 4, 2025. It's called a "doomsday plane" because the US Air Force considers this fleet to be the worst-case scenario because it can command the government in the event of a national emergency or destruction of ground command-and-control facilities. The plane today was code named "LOKI31" and Flight Aware shows it flew over Missouri with its transponder off until it was spotted over St. Joseph, Missouri.

Flight Radar 24 confirms the identity to be one of the US Air Force's "doomsday planes". The timing of this doomsday plane over Missouri is curious as it happened at almost the same exact time as President Trump warned Russia's Putin about nuclear threats as reported by the Washington Post. Is it coincidence? Probably. But, the activity of armed forces has been intense over the past few days as nuclear submarines have been moved into position after Russia's Medvedev warned of a nuclear attack with another terse warning about an hour ago as of this writing.

With Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri as the home of the stealth bombers and Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska housing many of the doomsday fleet, the skies over us are often interesting and today was no exception.
