I don't spend my life worrying, but I do try to be aware of potentially dangerous people and places. When it comes to gangs in Illinois, many believe this is just a Chicago problem, but they're dead wrong and sometimes literally so.

Yes, it is true that several of these gangs originated in Chicago, but I have heard that even southern and west-central Illinois has become a haven for elements of these groups that are trying to lay low after specific incidents.
