New COVID-19 Cases in Quincy, Marion & Monroe Counties

There are a number of new COVID-19 cases to report around western Illinois and northeast Missouri.

The Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs reports two more positive COVID cases at the Illinois Veterans’ Home, bringing the total among residents of the home to three.

Officials say all the residents have now been tested. 150 tests of staff members have come back negative.

Elsewhere, a staff member at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Marion County Health Department reports six new COVID cases. Two are hospitalized, the others are quarantined at home. All the new cases seem to be community transmitted.

That brings the total positive cases in Marion County to 37.

The Monroe County Health Department reports one new case, bringing its total to six. The latest case is travel related and the patient is quarantined at home.
