
Mystery of Deceased Woman Found in Illinois Wearing Scorpion Ring
The Illinois State Police need your help in solving a mystery that is now nearly 22 years old. It's the strange story of a deceased woman who was found wearing an odd scorpion ring.
There's a new press release just shared by Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigations Zone 1. It's in regards to the discovery of a woman who was found on Saturday, July 12, 2003 floating in the Skokie River in an area near Northfield and Winnetka, Illinois. The clues to her identity are unfortunately sparse. Police believe she was in her 20's or early 30's at the time of her death and she had dark hair. The only clothing she was wearing was a pair of black bicycle shorts. The one odd find was a ring she was wearing featuring a scorpion.
The Illinois State Police need your help in identifying this woman for the sake of her family. If you have any information about who she might be or what happened to her, you are asked to contact the Illinois State Police Troop 3 at 847-294-4400. You can submit information anonymously if you prefer.
Imagine if your family did not know the whereabouts of a loved one for nearly 22 years. No one or family should have to endure that and that's one reason why the Illinois State Police are still seeking information about her identity and who or what might be responsible for her death in July of 2003.
