Monroe City HS Moves To Hybrid Learning
Monroe City High School is upending its schedule and moving to a combination of in-person classes, closure, and virtual learning to get a handle on Covid infections.
The High School building is closed today, August 27 and Friday August 28 for deep cleaning and to allow the staff to transition. The hybrid learning model starts on Monday, August 31. The new schedule applies to the high school only. Monroe City Elementary and Middle School will continue in-person classes.
Athletic activities will continue as scheduled with social distancing measures in place.According to the Monroe City High School Activites Facebook page, the students will be divided into two groups, with half the students attending on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The school building will be closed every Wednesday with e-learning for all students.
"The High School specific closure is due to the frequent movement, use of multiple staff members per grade level and diversity of scheduling which is significantly different from elementary and middle school."
This revised High School schedule will continue until further notice. Contact MCHS with any questions.
