It appears that there is a Missouri town that is now famous for two different things. First, it's just been rated as one of the worst towns to live in Missouri. Oh, and it apparently was founded by one of the ancestors of Hollywood icon Brad Pitt.

It's no secret that Brad Pitt spent many of his early years in Missouri and there's even video of him at Mizzou in 1983 when he was playing "The Beaver" in a play. What I was not aware of was his connection to a small Missouri town that was just named one of the top 10 worst places you can live in Missouri by Roadsnacks.

It's the tiny town of Aurora, Missouri which apparently has a very unique connection to Brad Pitt. Roadsnacks says it was founded by one of Brad's ancestors.

They don't say which ancestor, but I've narrowed it down to 4 possibilities. We know according to Wikipedia that Aurora, Missouri was founded by James D. Hillhouse, E. B. Hillhouse, Reverend A. A. Young, James Barrow and James Gibson. They also confirm that one of them was related to Brad Pitt

Now for the bad news. Aurora, Missouri is known as one of the worst towns to live in the state due to the unemployment rate as what used to be a big mining community now...is not. Unemployment is over 8% at last check.

It's not all bad though. I hear the people in Aurora, Missouri are friendly and they really should brag more about their ancestral Brad Pitt connection. Seriously. He's a wicked cool dude that's famous and stuff.
