We are too many days away for this to be considered an actual warning, but Missouri would do well to keep a close eye on potential storm development in the middle of next week.

I once again give credit to the eagle weather eye of internet weather expert Ryan Hall who just dropped a new video mentioning that weather patterns are about to change dramatically. What he's talking about involve two different storm systems that computer models are showing that could impact Missouri the first week of June.

What days next week could Missouri see more severe storms?

Let's start with the CAPE numbers which is a meteorological way to refer to atmospheric conditions that can fuel thunderstorms. Notice that on Tuesday, June 3, the southwestern part of Missouri including southern parts of Kansas City are expected to be ripe for possible storm energy.

It also looks like a system with colder temps could be interacting with blistering hot temperatures over Missouri middle of next week which is a recipe for explosive storm development.

This is what the computer models are showing for wind activity and it could be volatile over Missouri with a northeasterly gust direction.

Finally, dew points mean there will be moisture available that could cause storms to start to pop.

NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has already issued this advisory showing a chance of storm development on June 3 and it has Missouri right on the edge of where they think storms could impact.

While this is no guarantee that Missouri will see severe storms next week, it would be a good idea to keep a close eye on updates as we get closer to the first week of June. I would not be surprised if this warned area doesn't expand to include Kansas City, Springfield, Joplin and other parts of western Missouri.
