This Is Where Missouri’s $1.8 Billion Lottery Ticket Was Sold
We learned this past weekend that Missouri was the location where 1 of 2 winning Powerball tickets were sold where the winners will split nearly $1.8 billion dollars. Now, we know exactly what store it was and it's a part of the St. Louis area.
Does this Missouri QuikTrip store look familiar to you?
This is the QuikTrip at 12110 Lusher Road in St. Louis, Missouri. According to News Press Now, this is the Missouri location that sold the near-record $1.8 billion dollar Powerball winning ticket. They report that the winner will have two very tasty money options:
- Lump sum of just over $410 million dollars
- 30 payments of $893.5 million paid in annual payments
Let's see...which one shall we choose? Oh, wait. We didn't have the winning ticket. Darn.
I've heard reports that we may never know the name of the person who bought the winning ticket in Missouri. Missouri is one of the states that allows Powerball winners to remain anonymous as reported by USA Today. There's a good reason why the winner would want to not have their name being public. Can you imagine how many fraudsters would be targeting you? The immediate celebrity would also require an investment into safety and security. It's sad, but true that the world can be a cruel place and villains will do whatever they can to find you out if they believe there's a big payday waiting. Let's hope the winning Missouri Powerball winner can safely enjoy their good fortune - literally.
