VIDEO: Missouri Firefighters Rescue Dog From Cliff
Missouri firefighters have to be prepared for just about everything. That point was proven again recently as a crew of volunteer firefighters were called out to rescue a dog stuff on a cliff and video captured their heroic efforts.
The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District in Missouri just shared this wild video on their social media sites a few days ago
In case you can't see what they shared on your device, here's what they had to say about this canine rescue:
"Earlier today, Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District responded to an address on Highway P for a report of an injured dog stranded along the side of a bluff and unable to move to safety. The dog had reportedly fell down a steep bluff and was wedged between several trees, unable to move. Crews quickly made access to the dog and were able to safely reach and rescue him from the difficult terrain. Fortunately, the rescue was successful, and our four-legged patient was brought back to safety. Not every rescue involves a structure fire, vehicle crash, or medical emergency. Sometimes, it’s about helping a member of the community who just happens to have four legs. If you know whose dog this is, please contact us immediately!"
Now, these Missouri volunteer firefighters are playing the role of a pet finder service as they seek out the owner of this poor dog that found himself in a precarious cliff situation. Fortunately, this animal had a happy ending for his adventure that became too vertical.
