As reports claim that Israel is preparing a major military strike on Iran, a "doomsday plane" was spotted circling over Missouri Wednesday.

What is the purpose of a "doomsday plane" and why would it be flying over Missouri?

As Wikipedia defines it, a doomsday plane is a military plane used by the US Air Force as a command and control craft meant to be airborne in the event of a catastrophic conflict where ground command is limited or eliminated. As Whiteman Air Force Base near Knob Noster is the home of the Air Force stealth bombers, Missouri is frequently the place where vital planes are spotted.

What's happening in the world right now that would cause the doomsday planes to be airborne over Missouri?

CNN reported today that Israel is planning to strike military targets in Iran that are involved in that country's nuclear program. If that happens, many fear the conflict could escalate to the point where it might involve United States military assets and possibly even draw in the Russians and/or China.

NY Prepper on YouTube noticed that one of the planes in the doomsday fleet was flying an intense circular pattern over Missouri Wednesday.

The good news is this doomsday plane being spotted over Missouri today was likely just basic operational and/or precautionary activity. The Air Force normally has one or several doomsday planes airborne so that if an unexpected attack happens, the country maintains it's command and control of military forces. It doesn't mean that a serious conflict between Israel and Iran won't happen, but this Missouri appearance by this secret plane was likely business as usual.
