WATCH: 2-Legged Bear Appears on a Missouri Trail Cam?

I have never seen a creature quite like this. From what appears to be a Missouri trail camera, there's video of what looks like a 2-legged bear.

I frequently do searches for bears in Missouri on YouTube and this strange video has now come up in my feed multiple times. It was captured on a trail camera on September 12, 2024.

The video was shared on YouTube by Kirk Price and there's nothing in the description to confirm where exactly this trail cam was. It's near the top with all the other results from Missouri and the surrounding woods sure look like Missouri, so I'll take this leap of faith that it's accurate. There are no comments either since this is a YouTube short.

I have so many questions and they begin with what happened to this bear's front legs? Was it born this way or was there some type of accident? I'm beside myself trying to figure out how a creature like this would survive if it were hit by a vehicle that resulted in the loss of legs. Yes, so many questions.

UPDATE: It appears that this bear is in West Virginia and not Missouri as I've found a story by USA Today confirming this. Still, one of the craziest trail camera videos I've ever seen of a bear and that's saying something.
