Miss Quincy Jessica Fox and Miss Quincy’s Outstanding Teen McKenna Merritt are heading to Marion, Illinois to compete for the prestigious titles of Miss Illinois and Miss Illinois’ Outstanding Teen June 11-15. Fox and Merritt were crowned Miss Quincy and Miss Quincy’s Outstanding Teen on January 5, 2019 at Quincy Community Theatre. Fox is the 24-year-old daughter of Mark and Marilyn Fox of Carthage. She graduated from Monmouth College in 2017 and is currently employed at State Farm in Hamilton as a Marketing and Event Coordinator.

At Miss Illinois, Fox will compete in talent, interview, evening wear, on-stage question, and social impact statement. The winner of Miss Illinois will go on to compete for the title of Miss America, which will air live on NBC.

Merritt is the 14-year-old daughter of Matt and Michelle Merritt of Carthage. This fall, she will be a sophomore at Illini West High School.

Merritt will compete in active wear, evening gown, on-stage question, interview and talent at the Miss Illinois’ Outstanding Teen competition. Her talent is musical theatre vocal. The winner of Miss Illinois’ Outstanding Teen will go on to compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen this summer in Orlando, Florida.
