Mystery Winner of $500K From This North-Central Missouri Casey’s
How was your Memorial Day weekend? Great, I hope, but it likely wasn't quite as good as one person who made a stop at a north-central Missouri Casey's and walked out with a ticket now valued at just over a half-million dollars.
The Missouri Lottery just shared the great news (for someone) about this Milan, Missouri Casey's
This is the Casey's located at 114 N. Pearl Street in Milan, Missouri which is located in the north-central part of the state west of Kirksville. The Missouri Lottery Unclaimed Prizes site says that someone on May 24, 2026 picked up a Show Me Cash ticket that is now worth $502,000!
The winning numbers on May 24 were 19-21-24-28-36. As I write this, someone grabbed this ticket just a couple days ago so they probably are aware of their good fortune and are trying to get their ducks in a row before they make their winning public, but it's also possible they have the winning ticket and it's sitting in the floorboard of their vehicle. Sure hope not as that would be a crying shame to have a half-million buck ticket floating around in your vehicle in danger of getting lost. The good news is whoever this winner is, they have 6 months to come forward and claim their not-so-small fortune. Is it you?
How much take home cash would there be from a $502,000 Missouri Lottery win?
Online tax calculators say if you take a lump sum for a $502,000 lottery prize, your initial take-home would be $351,400 before any final year-end tax adjustments, but everyone's tax situation is different. No matter what the exact number is, that's a monstrous payday for someone.
