Mask Making Kits Available From Kiwanis Clubs
Quincy Noon Kiwanis, Quincy Golden K Kiwanis, and Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis have partnered with Quincy Sewessentials and other seamstresses to re-stock the Adams County Schools with masks to ensure the children and school employees are safe.
Kiwanis understands that going out is a risk so you can still be a “super hero” and give yourself and/or your family the gift of teaching children to volunteer, be kind and give back to their community.
Kiwanians are making it easier for people to volunteer safely from their home. Stay safe...Take a kit home and help them make 15,000 masks for Adams County Schools. They have a team of people who will deliver and/or pick up at their home. You can pick up/drop off at Emerald City Jewelry’s corridor located at Emerald City Jewelers, 3236 Broadway, Quincy, IL. To arrange a delivery/pick up, contact Joanne Dedert at 217-242-1425.
The community is also invited to help cut, assemble, sew, and package masks between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday evenings and 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday tat he Quincy Mall (former Fred Meyer Jewelry location). Park in the back of the Quincy Mall and enter Door 1.
