Davenport’s Great River Brewery Set For Grand Opening Friday

The once-beloved Great River Brewery in downtown Davenport has finally reopened with a new look, new ownership, but the same great vibes.

The bar was once one of few businesses on what's now known as Motor Row downtown but was wiped out by the 2019 Hesco Barrier failure that wiped out multiple businesses in the area.

Since then, the area has changed in a massive way. What was once a nearly completely vacant block has seen the opening of a distillery, cigar lounge, record store, music venue, and a locally owned movie theater.

Now, the brewery is back as a massive corner sight for sore eyes, sitting prominently with its iconic former muffler shop look.

Great River is hosting a Grand Opening event Friday, June 7th starting at 4pm, where you'll be able to try their new beers, pizzas, pretzels, bruschetta and more while listening to some live music.

Their hours of business will be:

• Monday-Thursday: 11am-10pm
• Friday-Saturday: 11am-11pm
• Sunday: 10am-9pm
