Forbes Says 2 Illinois Schools Part of a ‘New Ivy League’

I believe this is meant as a compliment although I'm not certain everyone will take it that way. Forbes says that there are two places of higher learning in Illinois that are now part of a 'new Ivy League'.

I saw this interesting perspective trending on Yahoo this morning. It's a topic based on a new article by Forbes. They say that more and more employers are now avoiding traditional Ivy League schools and finding more and better talent in different places.

One key point of the Forbes article is they say these Illinois schools are producing "hard-working high achievers that employers crave".

Which Illinois schools are now part of the 'new Ivy League'?

The Illinois university that's a part of what they call the 'Public Ivy" is University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The SAT average at the University of Illinois is a stunning 1440 while the average ACT score is an admirable 32.

The 'Private Ivy League' school in Illinois is Northwestern University.

The SAT average at Northwestern University is an intimidating 1530 while the average ACT score is a sky-high 34.

These two places of higher learning in Illinois were praised as two of twenty universities where employers are now finding the best talent. That's high praise no matter if an official 'New Ivy League' banner is raised over the campus or not.
